Dr. Jane Bicks is the
Executive Director of New Product Development & Education for
HealthyPetNet where she oversees all product development and supervises a
board of veterinarians and pet industry experts who ensure HealthyPetNet's
cutting-edge formulas meet the highest standards for quality and
effectiveness. She is one of the pioneers of veterinary
nutritional/alternative medicine and is recognized nationally as a
foremost authority in the natural treatment of animals.
Dr. Jane served as the President of the Veterinary Medical Association of
NYC and has been honored many times by her own veterinary profession.
Among her many awards and acclamations are the Outstanding Service to
Veterinary Medicine Award, three Presidential Citations, The Morris Animal
Foundation (supporting the continuance of Diane Fosse's Lowland Gorilla
Project and studies of all animals) and the Veterinary Medical Society's
Merit Award. Dr. Jane has also been involved with many Advisory Boards

Center, Canine Companions for Independence and Pet Owners with AIDS/ARC
Resource Services assisting stricken individuals so they may keep their

In 1994, New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani appointed Dr. Jane to help
set up the largest animal shelter in the world, the Center for Animal Care
and Control. She has been associated with the ASPCA, Bid-O-Wee Home, St.
Hubert's, the American Humane Society and various regional and national
animal shelters and rescue services.
Since the early 1980's, Dr. Jane has authored three national books
promoting the responsible care and treatment of pets. Her books include
Revolution in Cat Nutrition (Rawson Associates, New York, 1986),
Dr. Jane's Thirty Days to a Healthier, Happier
Cat (Berkley Publishing, New York, 1997), and Dr. Jane's Guide to a
Healthier, Happier Dog (Berkley Publishing, New York, 1999)...see below.
Dr. Jane has appeared as a veterinary expert on CBS's 48 hours, ABC's Good
Morning America, Fox's Good Morning New York, WNET's Romper Room and
Reading Rainbow, CNN, PBS, Lifetime, The Discovery Channel, TV Food
Network and numerous radio stations including WABC/NY, WNBC, WNYC, WQXR
and National Public Radio. At present, she is a veterinary expert on the
new Animal Planet series, Petsburgh.
She was formerly the President of Dr. Jane Enterprises, Ltd., where she
developed a line of holistic pet care products that were marketed
throughout the United States. Dr. Jane was previously the regular host of
the QVC Pet Shop and the Home Shopping Network's Pet Solutions by Dr. Jane
where she sold her own line of pet products while promoting the importance
of appropriate animal care and responsible pet ownership.
Dr. Jane is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Parma, Italy.

The Most Recent Pet Tragedy...
We at HealthyPetNet want the

wheat and other crops
and can cause severe liver damage in pets...up to and including death.
In December 2005 (barely one year ago, at the
time of this writing)
over
100 dogs died from eating tainted food from a major manufacturer,
which contained a toxic mold found on corn called "Aflatoxin".
